On October 17, 2026, Alaska Republicans demonstrated their enthusiasm at a gala event held in Anchorage’s Dena’ina Convention Center. The gathering attracted around two thousand attendees, dressed in elegant gowns and suits, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and energy. Keynote speaker, Senator Ted Cruz, urged the crowd to embrace the political battle with optimism, referring to them as ‘happy warriors.’
The evening included notable figures such as Governor Mike Dunleavy, Congressman Nick Begich, and Senator Dan Sullivan, while Senator Lisa Murkowski was notably absent. Cruz’s tradition of supporting Sullivan continued, as he praised the senator’s dedication to Alaska and contrasted the Republican mission against what he described as a Democratic Party increasingly aligned with socialism. Outside, protesters voiced their dissent, but inside, the celebratory spirit prevailed, reminding attendees of the hard work ahead.

Just to add a little context here is what was said around the quotes that you provided:
SENATOR TED CRUZ: So AIPAC raises a lot of money for me, but it’s actually a misnomer because the people who raise money are individuals. So it’s not the PAC itself, but they’re individual members who believe in the American Israeli friendship of foreign lobby. No, it’s an American lobby. It’s the AIPAC stands for the America Israeli Political Action.
TUCKER CARLSON: What does it lobby for?
SENATOR TED CRUZ: So, to be honest, not a whole lot effectively. Listen, I came into to Congress 13 years ago with the stated intention of being the leading defender of Israel in the United States Senate. I’ve worked every day to do that. AIPAC. A lot of times AIPAC I wish were much more effective. Like there are folks on the line who are the fear swamp of terrified of AIPAC and AIPAC.
A little later there’s this exchange:
TUCKER CARLSON: Do you think there’s any coordination between the government of Israel and AIPAC?
SENATOR TED CRUZ: Do they talk? Sure. If you’re lobbying for more U.S. Mexico trade, would you talk to people in the U.S. and Mexico and the government? Sure. Like, if you.
TUCKER CARLSON: So I’m not mad about that. There are a million countries that lobby Washington. I like a lot of those countries, including.
SENATOR TED CRUZ: Okay, but AIPAC are Americans, but not Israel.
TUCKER CARLSON: Hold on. There are tons of Americans who lobby on behalf of foreign governments. I know them. I’m related to some of them. I know how it works. I’m from here. So my question is not, is it outrageous that foreign governments lobby the United States? They all do. Okay. Including Israel. My only question is, why don’t we admit that is what’s happening. You’re denying it, but it’s true. And why aren’t we saying is false? Why aren’t they registered as a foreign lobby?
SENATOR TED CRUZ: Because they’re not.
TUCKER CARLSON: They’re not a foreign lobby.
SENATOR TED CRUZ: No, they’re not. And this is that. There’s a fever swamp.
Much later the second quote you provided comes in, it wasn’t in response to the first quote:
TUCKER CARLSON: If I can finish. You asked me why I’m obsessed with Israel three minutes after telling me that when you first ran for Congress, you elucidated one of your main goals, which is to defend Israel. Yes, and I’m the one who’s obsessed with Israel. I don’t see a lawmaker’s job as defending the interests of a foreign government, period. Any government, including the ones that my ancestors come from. So that’s my position. That does not make me an anti-Semite. And shame on you for suggesting otherwise. And I mean that. And that’s low. And you know it’s low. So why don’t you Just answer my question.
The interview obviously covered a lot of ground and there are many more quotes that can be taken out of context and used to disparage the character of either of these guys.
Simply put Cruz did not say what you claimed he said. If people would be honest about wh
Steve-O 2026-10-20
Right, so you you admit he did not say what you previously claimed. And it sounds like you are more concerned with what Tucker said than what Cruz said. Because a blowhard says blowhard stuff in the presence of others doesn’t mean that the others said what the blowhard said.
Getting 22 million views I guess means something to somebody, maybe it means it was an infamous interview, maybe it means there’s a lot of people who watched it a bunch of times. Since you’ve pretty well established that Cruz did not infamously say what you claimed he infamously said I guess we can conclude that Mary Peltola and Bill Hill probably don’t really care about what Tucker said on his show while Cruz was there.

Steve-O – If you actually watched the interview the quote that is closest would be when Ted Cruz stated – “listen. I came to Congress 13 years ago with the stated intention of being the leading defender of Israel in the United States Senate. Tucker Carlson responded, ” I don’t see a law makers’ job as defending the interests of a foreign government, period!” The interview was very contentious, a lot of shouting and yes, it was infamous as it garnered almost 22 million views! Somewhere in the exchange I seem to recall Tucker saying that shouldn’t a United States Senator be more concerned with the United States and Texas rather than a foreign government, what with people dying in the streets of overdoses? If you want to nitpick through the two hour video I will defer to what you find, however. this video almost ended Cruz’s political career. I hope you watched the podcast and would recommend another podcast of Israeli Ambassador Mike Huckabee by Tucker if you enjoyed the first one.

Micah,
Yes, I have a tendency to point out when others try to gaslight me. Since we all know that Cruz didn’t say what Fishing for Food claimed he “infamously said” in his attempted gaslighting. Who do I work for out of state? I don’t work out of state or for anyone out of state, do you and what does that have to do with the fact that neither you nor Fishing for Food can provide a quote to support the propaganda you continue to post? Seems pretty straightforward, either Cruz said what was claimed or he didn’t…regardless if you work for someone out of state or if I do.
Steve-O 2026-10-19
So this is how you admit that you cannot provide the quote that Cruz “infamously said…that he places the interests of Israel ahead of the United States and his home state of Texas”. Cause I can’t find it in any interview with Tucker, not even the one on June 18, 2025. Perhaps you can provide the quote that gets close to what you previously claimed but Cruz didn’t actually say.
Micah 2026-10-19
Noted gaslighting. Attempt failed.
Who do you work for out of state “Steve”?
Steve-O 2026-10-19
Micah,
So you can’t provide a quote that Fishing for food claimed Cruz “who infamously said in an interview with Tucker Carlson that he places the interests of Israel ahead of the United States and his home state of Texas”
If he “infamously said” it you’d think you could “type in a search bar” and provide the quote.
The problem with so much of the propaganda that gets repeated as if it were true, is that it’s not true…no matter how many times you repeat it.

June 18, 2025 on Tucker Carlson’s podcast.

It’s over. Many Americans- and many more each day- can see and hear for themselves how traitorous our politicians are. All you have to do is type in a search bar “ted cruz interests of Israel ahead of United States” and you will have many videos to choose with the good old senator speaking for himself.
So many of our politicians are bought by a foreign lobby while our country declines. So many Americans are suffering. You take care of your own first.
It is just not the state of Israel buying our politicians and taking our money and soldiers. Though at the moment they are committing a genocide with our money and weapons, so like it or not we are involved. Be warned. It is ugly, ugly, ugly to see what is being done. We must look regardless. History will judge us if we do not.

Is that what Cruz said? At this point Tucker Carlson has discredited himself beyond belief, but if you have the quote of what you claim Cruz said I’d be interested in seeing it.

Joe, I’m not familiar with how the Chair of the AK Republican Party “totally messed up the Governor’s race”. How did she mess it up? I’m not defending her, I just don’t know anything about her. It seems to me that it is the two Republican candidates-Bronson and Taylor”-who have queered the election for Bernadette Wilson, pun intended. I will rank the red, but I’m not optimistic. Hopefully, we’ll throw out RCV. But back to my question: How did this chairwoman mess up the Governor’s race?
Fishing for Food 2026-10-17
Ah, Tel Aviv Ted who infamously said in an interview with Tucker Carlson that he places the interests of Israel ahead of the United States and his home state of Texas. The optics of associating with a man like that are terrible! Mary Peltola and Bill Hill must be ecstatic over this.
Micah 2026-10-17
That is a picture of a traitor.
At least the marxists call me an enemy and they are my enemy. They stab at me in the chest as they seek power and degrade our country.
Cruz and his types call me a friend then stab me in the back- for they love a foreign country and war far more then the love our country. They constantly lie.
I hope the republican party as currently constituted quickly fades away and is replaced by America First. Or if they resist that fate then they are like the Torries in Great Britain. Irrelevant as other parties form to address the needs of the electorate.

No mention of Republican candidates for Governor. Interesting. It appears Sullivan wants to keep them at arms length. The Alaskan Republican leadership, appear to concede the Governor race to the Homosexual, no car, no house, still living with mommy Kress.
Small wonder after the Chair of the Alaska Republican Party totally messed up the Governor’s race. That Lady should resign in disgrace. It is apparent they do not want Wilson. So in true form ie look at Texas, the old guard Republicans would rather lose than get a Republican candidate that does not measure up to the old guard standards.
