On October 29, 2026, Fairbanks City Council member Aaron Lojewski revealed that a man using the name ‘Zane’ sought to recruit him to run against Republican Senator Dan Sullivan. Lojewski, who has a background as a conservative business owner and former assembly member, reported that Zane visited Fairbanks specifically to encourage his participation in the Senate race.
Lojewski retains text message records from Zane, whose real name is identified as Jarid Kurtz, showing efforts to arrange a meeting under the pretense of discussing financial support from a group of donors interested in backing unique candidates. His statements suggest a systematic approach to candidate recruitment, echoing similar reports involving Anchorage resident Matt Salisbury. Lojewski confirmed that Zane specifically sought to influence his decision regarding a campaign against Sullivan.

Awww
That’s not a flaw!
At least Coghill won’t be a baby boomer who lets his brain go to waste doing nothing and develop dementia
More baby boomers his age need to get some work even just part time work that gets them out of the house three-four days a week for 20-30 hours a week

What money? Coghill is nearly 80 years old and driving a delivery truck. 😁

I’ll vote for Lojewski too. John Coghill is a two-time loser. Washed-out son of another washed-out politician. These political families do not know when to quit. Any endorsement by Coghill will reflect another loss. Sorry Prax. Your work ethic is terrible.

Lojewski needs to focus on local politics. He should run against Scott Kendall’s brother in law next year for borough mayor. He would have probably won the last race against him, but for dropping out so John Coghill could run. Coghill lost and now we have Scott Kendall’s brother in law who is the darling of radical leftists. I’ll vote for Lojewski if he runs for borough mayor.

Whether it’s election manipulation by Democrats or Republicans; RCV has made election manipulation easier. I think today’s Ak Republican leaders are guilty playing the same tactic in the 2026 gubnatorial race , they didn’t need to stack the race after Ms Wilson announced her candidate filing for Governor on the capital steps.

There’s no plausible deniability defense for a second Dan Sullivan showing up on the ballot.
If Sullivan, the incumbent, wins this election, then this crooked illegal electioneering will fall off everyone’s radar. There will be zero accountability!
If however Peltola wins, then there’s a slight chance for accountability.
There are so many swamp creatures in politics trying to protect each other that their glass houses have survived, thus far anyway. So don’t hold your breath.
