ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The Alaska Zoo is gearing up for its popular Zoo Boo event this Saturday, with tickets still up for grabs, as indicated by Rich Capitan, the education director. This long-standing tradition will showcase fresh decorations this year, including a family of Bigfoots, a coven of witches, and numerous skeletons scattered around the zoo.
According to Capitan, attendees can expect a spooky trail aimed at older children and thrill-seekers, along with a games area designed for younger visitors. However, preparations faced some challenges due to high winds in Anchorage on Friday, which have delayed the setup of decorations. Despite the weather setbacks, Capitan remains optimistic about completing the arrangements in time for the Saturday festivities, which will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
