ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The trial of John Ivory, who faces charges related to a fatal crash in October 2025 that resulted in the death of 34-year-old Lorraine Williams, progressed on Wednesday. Jurors were presented with both crash reconstruction analysis and forensic testing results indicating that Ivory’s blood was free of any substances.
During the trial, forensic scientist Colleen O’Bryant confirmed that Ivory’s blood revealed no alcohol, stating, “So my result was none detected for an alcohol test.” Additionally, chemist Donald Scott Harrell testified that tests for drugs, including THC, also returned negative results. The state opted not to cross-examine either witness. A key focus was the surveillance footage used by Investigator Casey Johnson to reconstruct the incident, which showed Ivory’s SUV and the circumstances of the crash. Closing arguments are anticipated on November 2, before the jury begins deliberation.
